Dee Ocleppo Fall 2015

For Dee Hilfiger wife of Tommy Hilfiger this is her second showing of her handbag line Dee Ocleppo which was showcased inside their Plaza apartment and made for a beautiful backdrop for her bags. The fall collection is a move forward in Dee's creativity and it shows in many aspects. Stylish women need stylish bags and the customer she is attracting are like birds of a feather which was evident at the presentation, the Park Ave set was in attendance.

As for the range of bags and clutches it seems endless, from shoulder/backpack bags, yes that's a two-in-one option here to evening clutches with floral prints against deep reds, blues, metallics and mohair treatment bags, it just goes on and on.

The take away from this which is key to any designer is she knows her customer and she's supplying what they need! May it be weekend or evening or daytime it's all there. In the end, it's a serious line and has been picked up by Saks Fifth Avenue and others. The real question is does this line have the momentum to move forward into S/S2016? Put a win bet on Dee Ocleppo, there's more to come.

Caffe Swimwear S/S 2014

Caffe Swimwear showed a collection inspired by beaches, jungles, tropical colors and animal prints. Designer Paula Saavedra seems to go beyond just swimsuits and has incorporated bags and long/short kaftans into the line.

The colors of the collection and bold and quite striking but a few of her prints left me a tad confused, with a one-piece which went from animal print to abstract color, in short a rough design transition. Morphing different prints is not a easy task but with her offerings of bags which came in many different colors and her loungewear, she has more than enough to satisfy.

MCM Spring 2010 Handbags

The MCM line of bags for Spring offers variety and high style for the upcoming season. The line has incorporated a line of Python along with Karung watersnake. The standout piece for us is the highly polished water snake bag with gold hardware, it screams editorial and we're betting we should see this bag in ad campaigns down the road. As for men the one bag we loved was the weekender bag with Jamaican color detail with the MCM logo splashed all over. As for other offerings for women there are metallics which are still hot even after two full seasons and some are done in faux skin via leather. The overall price range for the bags range between $595.00- $1295.00 and for exotic skin pieces $2350.00.

Acme Made Laptop and Camera Cases~ A Cut Above

Most laptop cases we come across are just plain and bland. Yes they do provide the protection we all desire for our precious laptops but the style factor lacks! If your looking to upgrade from the dull and boring look towards Acme Made laptop and camera cases.

The difference from these bags is that they provide more storage then the traditional cases. The Kate is a laptop and designer handbag but has the ability to carry other items due to its slanted flat front pockets. Items like keys, cell phones and wallets and be stowed away and the added bonus is the fashion forward design to this case/handbag.

As for camera bags, Acme's The Bowler is designed for digital slr cameras and has a classic bowling ball bag look and feel. The interior of the bag is fully padded and offers full protection.

The majority of the cases and bags Acme sells come in different colors to suit your personal style. Prices for these items range from $39.95 for the bowler and $99.99 for the kate. Bags are sold throughout the country via boutiques and department stores. You can also buy them directly from Acme Made at www.acmemade.com
