Mena Lombard Fall 2015

Mena Lombard is yet another first time designer showing in New York for the first time. She's from Uruguay by way of Miami. Her design background is little more than some training in two Italian fashion schools and there have been no internships with any major fashion houses. What is to note, is this designer has already dressed Miss Argentina for the Miss Universe.

The strong suit of Miss Lombard is she knows how to finish garments well and her sense of color is correct. She's come up with some very nice floral print dresses with should work in her favor for the Miami crowd. The real test will be a return to New York and actually show during fashion week.

Jordana Warmflash designer of Novis launches her online site today which is a breath of fresh air and determination within a slowly dying retail landscape. it seems that Jordana sees the writing on the wall and has incorporated a take charge attitude in moving her brand forward! It also helps when Taylor Swift wears a piece or two, but in a world where the internet is your friend; as well social media it's free, why still do so many other designers miss the boat?

Kaufman Franco Resort 2014

The resort 2014 from Kaufman Franco demonstrates how a focused design team can produce a collection which has their customer in mind as well as offering red carpet options for special occasions. The basis of this collection is simply easy stylish dressing and who doesn't want that, right?

The fusion of clean lines, a limited color palette make this a winning collection. It's  ultra chic and stylish. This is hands down one of the best resort collections I have seen for the season and for a house which has only recently come onto the fashion scene, I'm overly impressed and Fall 2014 should be a blockbuster.
