Editions Georges Chakra Fall 2011

Sometimes sitting out the madness of New York fashion week has its advantages, editors are rested and can look at collections with fresh and open eyes which was the case for myself viewing Georges Charkra's new fall collection.

When I saw his Spring 2011 line it was light, flowing and colorful which was a breath of fresh air, unlike other designer who seemed to be playing follow the leader. Mr. Chakra's fall collection is yet another demonstration in knowing his customer but as well following his design vision, the combination of the two thought processes is key and works flawlessly! His day wear pieces have a sophisticated edge with leather dresses detailed with laser cut neck line venting as well other pieces which are body hugging thusly giving his day wear a New York/Palm Beach feel.

In regards to his evening wear the only word that comes to mind is red carpet! Granted not every gown or dress my be a traditional piece but his construction of his evening wear makes a statement and commands "look at me". The variations in his designs provides more than an ample selection for Hollywood stylists to dress their celebrities. Hands down this is one of the best fall collection to be offered for the season.

Siwy Fall 2011

If your looking for the next new thing in denim Siwy might be a line worth checking out! What can be said about this line is that its new, different, fresh and very unlike other denim jeans you might find. The diversity of these jeans is like none we have ever seen and the craftsmanship in construction shows quality. Fans of the line include Kate Moss and Nicole Richie to name a few but beside the celebrity adoration the line has quite a few standout editorial pieces. As for the price point, pieces range between $160 to $300 which we feel is right on the mark for this line.
